Parent Parrots (breeders)
Our parent parrots consist of Umbrella and Moluccan Cockatoos, African Greys, Macaws, Red-bellied Parrots and Eclectus Parrots. Our Parent Parrots are good natured and when they're not in breeding season, some of them come out to play with us.
Parrots are very adaptable and are capable of forming new relationships throughout their lives. Remember that large psittacines (parrots) are not really mature until they are about five years old. Most are not capable of breeding and raising babies until they are six to ten years old. The life span in captivity is about 60 to 100 years for some of the Amazons, Cockatoos and Macaws. However, in the wild they do not usually live that long.
